Have you ever been targeted by scams on WhatsApp?
Hey everyone! I recently had a weird message pop up on WhatsApp from a number I didn’t recognize — it said something about claiming a “reward” and asked me to click a link. After reading it, I realized so many of those scam types (fake codes, shady links, “urgent verification” messages) are exactly the ones people complain about online. Interesting thread. I haven’t had anything super dangerous yet, but I do get random forward-style messages promising freebies or scary warnings about my account. Now I’m really careful not to forward that stuff — especially when friends accidentally send it. I always remind them (and myself) to double-check messages before replying or clicking, because scammers are getting crazy good at making things look real.
